Spirit Week

Every year, sororities across the nation prepare in different ways for their recruitment process. At the University of Cincinnati, our Angels hosted "Spirit Week" the days before students returned to campus.  Taking place of a full time job, girls took the opportunity to rejoin forces. Spending countless hours reconnecting and telling tales from this summer, our bond with Pi Phi, and with each other, grew before our eyes.

The first day of Spirit Week was spent on campus with the other seven NPC Sororities on campus. Phired Up, a dynamic recruitment seminar spent the day teaching our sorority women how to better recruit the girls they were actually looking for. It was an experience that girls truly enjoed, and it taught the older girls new and exciting ways to recruit.

To further our experience, VP of Membership, Alyssa Vah, created an Olympic Theme for us to follow. Each bump group was divided up into an Olympic sport and "competed" against the other bump groups. We even dressed up as the players of our given sport, and the house was decorated with Olympic athletes. Each lunch break we gathered in groups based on families or bump groups and headed to the restaurants of Clifton. Needless to say, this was a week full of high spirits and pep.

Although learning recruitment isn't always the most fun we have, this week was made into an exciting adventure with sisters that we had dearly missed. Stay tuned to hear about our surprise sisterhood that the girls went on during our spirit week.
