Pie a Pi Phi 2015

In the words of our Vice President of Philanthropy, Mallory Widecan, “it’s not everyday you get to pie a sorority girl in the face!”  On April 2, 2015, OH Kappa put on one of our favorite annual philanthropy events – Pie a Pi Phi!  From 11am-3pm on McMicken Commons, anyone could throw whipped cream in the face of a willing friend or a Pi Phi.

Participants were able to throw one pie for two dollars or three pies for five dollars.  With these donations and along with a generous contribution from our alumni club, OH Kappa was able to raise $373! All of the money collected will go towards the Pi Beta Phi Foundation to support childhood literacy.

Pie a Pi Phi is a fun event for everyone.  Not only do the Pi Phis have fun getting pies to the face, but it’s also amusing for UC students and faculty passing through McMicken Commons.  “Pie a Pi Phi is a chance for us to put our name out in the community in a fun way,” says Widecan.  We couldn’t agree more!  Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event!
